The average daily trade in the Global FOREX and related markets currently is almost US$ 4 trillion.

The FOREX market has been referred to as a "perfect market" because of its unique attributes:
- its trading volumes
- the extreme liquidity of the market
- the large number of, and variety of, traders in the market
- its geographical dispersion
- its long trading hours: 24 hours a day from 20:00 GMT on Sunday until 22:00 GMT Friday
- the variety of factors that affect exchange rates
- the low margins of profit compared with other markets of fixed income (but profits can be high due to very large trading volumes)
- the use of leverage

So, trading on this market is supposed to be easy?
The answer to this question is, no. If you try to trade currency pairs without any previous education and without understanding what makes this market fluctuate, you will probably end up losing more money than you started with. In fact on average, 98% of the people that trade on the FOREX market at any given moment are losing money while only 2% are making money. However, there's a catch (there almost always is). At any given moment, almost all of the people that are included in the 2% that make money have one thing in common.
